Jens, an engineer with two decades of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure and process facilities projects, brings comprehensive expertise in the renewable energy and plant operations sector. This addition signifies a strategic enhancement of our collective capabilities in the development, execution, and management of renewable energy projects.

Background and Expertise

Jens Avenhues has cultivated extensive experience over 15 years in the lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from their inception (Ideation) to their operational handover. His project portfolio spans European, Asian, and Australian markets, where he has assumed leadership roles in the development and execution phases. Notably, Avenhues has dedicated over ten years to serving as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Project Manager/Director, pivotal to successfully realising complex projects.

 In recent years, his focus has shifted towards the eFuels sector, recognising its growth potential and critical role in the transition to sustainable energy sources. Avenhues’s dedication to supporting all project phases and disciplines underscores his comprehensive approach to project management.

Project Contributions

Jens Avenhues’s contributions to renewable energy and eFuels projects include:

Providing support to technology specialists and critical equipment manufacturers, preparing their operations to meet the challenges posed by evolving market demands and client requirements.
Led the project management efforts for designing, manufacturing, and delivering equipment for an SAF plant in Canada. Unfortunately, the project was finally canceled due to funding issues.
Offering high-level advisory for the ideation of an eFuels production facility in North Africa.
Assisting in the ideation phase for a Waste to Energy project in an Indian metropolis aimed at processing approximately 900,000 tons of waste annually.
I am supporting a major renewable energy company in finalising and closing an EPC contract for a new 600 MEUR asset in the UK.
