Pertamina and Boeing to build SAF ecosystem in Indonesia (July 13, 2026)

Indonesian state-owned energy company Pertamina and Boeing have signed an MoU to develop feedstock sources, technology, and policy frameworks for Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Indonesia. According to the ASEAN 2050 SAF Outlook, Indonesia is among the three ASEAN countries with the largest SAF surplus potential.

E-methanol makes its debut at sea at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (July 13, 2026)

At the 13th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, e-methanol is being used at sea for the first time: student team SURGE Methanol Foiling Team Twente is competing with a foiling boat powered by a 5 kW fuel cell running on reformed green methanol. In parallel, NatPower and Linde are positioning hydrogen bunkering infrastructure for the yachting industry.

Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub update: Plug Power wins 50 MW electrolyzer order (July 7, 2026)

Following the final investment decision for Orica’s Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub – the largest Australian renewable hydrogen project to reach FID – Plug Power has won the order for 50 MW of GenEco PEM electrolyzers. The plant, located next to Orica’s ammonia facility on Kooragang Island, is expected to supply around 4,700 tonnes of renewable hydrogen per year for ammonia production.
